Le Bar at Hotel Sofitel Philippine

Le Bar

Hotel Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila

I took the privilege and introduce to my sister one of Manila's best buffet experience I had at Sofitel known as Spiral. I did a reservation a day ahead for us five but sadly Spiral is under renovation and Le Bar is taking place of the buffet.
Sofitel Philippine Plaza is a luxury hotel in Manila and they very much known of their multi-cuisine open cooking station at Spiral Restaurant. In absent of Spiral due to its renovation and will launch to a new level of interactive dining this coming November 2012. I was so excited to dine again at Spiral but alternatively we dine at Le Bar which offered an international dinner buffet for Php2000+ per person. (while Spiral is close for renovation)
Le Bar is a three in one combination of library, bistro and patisserie. The buffet caters 100 different kind of dishes while in Spiral caters 300 kind of dishes. Seafood, Japanese Cuisine, Pastries, Salad Bar, Bread, Italian Cuisine, Chinese Cuisine, Pasta Station, Halo-Halo Station and more.
Halo-Halo Station
Cookies and Jelly Beans
What's in my plate?
I basically had some steak , vegetable, crab, lobster, peking duck, crepe and whole lot of change plate :)
Seafoods Galore
Salad Station
Pinoy Sorbetes
Since Le Bar buffet is an open cooking station it is freshly cooked and they can cooked the way you want it to be. Luxury buffet at its finest only at Hotel Sofitel.

Grand Jeepney Parade: Rehabilitated Murals on Wheels

Grand Jeepney Parade

 Rehabilitated Murals on Wheels

From a blur of metal to a haze of pulsating colors, 50 rehabilitated jeepneys brought back the old glory days of Manila during the Jeepney Arts Festival’s second event—the Grand Jeepney Parade—last September 24.

The 3rd place winner of the On-the-Spot Jeepney Painting contest, LJE, spray painted the walls of its jeepney with details depicting the rich wildlife in the country including the well-known Philippine eagle and tarsier.

Ranking 2nd in the On-the-Spot Jeepney Painting contest, the Earist students executed their idea of the Pintados Festival in intricate details which brought the thrill of the festivity to the streets during the Grand Jeepney Parade.

Winning the very first On-the-Spot Jeepney Painting contest, Roberto Marquez and company encapsulated the spirit of bayanihan from their jeepney’s hoods, to the outer walls and even to its tires. This rehabilitated icon of Philippine art and tourism is set to be displayed at CafĂ© Jeepney in Hotel Intercontinental Manila for the whole month of October.

A Tourist Destination on Wheels: A Splash Back to the Glory Days of the Pinoy Jeepney

A Tourist Destination on Wheels

A Splash Back to the Glory Days of the Pinoy Jeepney

Last September 20, 2012, the initial salvo of the Jeepney Arts Festival dubbed as the On-the-Spot Jeepney Painting was launched at the SM Mall of Asia Open Grounds where 50 jeepneys were transformed from bare metal carriages to vibrant vehicles bannering art and tourism.
Filipinos from various sectors—including artists from the Circle of Friends Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization for disabled individuals—came together to do their share in restoring and dressing up the iconic vehicle back to its effervescent form in the unwavering spirit of bayanihan.
Volunteers smeared the walls and even roofs of the jeepneys with images depicting the country's tourism destinations that evoke our rich cultural heritage and foster awareness as to why it is, indeed, more fun to travel in the Philippines.
The Jeepney Arts Festival has indeed taken us one step forward in reviving the jeepney—not only as the most popular means of transportation in the country, but as the Philippines’ bona fide iconic vehicle.

The Top 10 Workout Songs For October

The Top 10 Workout Songs For October

Fort Wayne, IN – October 1, 2012 – This month's top 10 list should have a little something for everybody. It's got a song you hear everywhere (from PSY), a comeback single (from Christina Aguilera), and a wildcard country track (from Dierks Bentley). There's also a crossover hit (“Only the Horses”) and a song popularized by a Kia commercial (“In My Mind”).Lastly, there's Dragonette with the month's number one track. The group isn't a household name, and the song's not from the Top 40—which means it had to top the chart the old-fashioned way: through sheer awesomeness.

Here's the full list, according to votes placed at Run Hundred--the web's most popular workout music blog.
