Milan: The New Italy

Milan, Italy

The New Italy

Milan is the last city in Italy that we have visited. For me this is the most beautiful city in Italy. If Rome represents to be the OLD Italy, Milan represents to be the NEW Italy. Milan is the most modern Italian Cities but they do still keep its history intact. Famous for its wealth of historical and modern sights. I just simply love Milan!

Where we stayed?
Double Tree by Hilton Hotel
Double Tree Hotel is the most beautiful and luxurious hotel that we had stayed for are whole Italy Tour which lies in the beautiful city of Milan. Having a perfect place away from home. A very welcoming atmosphere with stylish lobby. I love this hotel!

Breakfast at The Glass Restaurant
Buffet Breakfast at Double Tree Hotel was totally comfort. The restaurant is elegant and modern, offered a wide selection of hot entrees, cereals, breads and fruits and cooked food upon request.
Double Tree Hotel Milan has a very relaxing and cozy indoor and outdoor lounge seating area which you could consider a good place to enjoy or gathering with colleagues, fiends or family.
Together with my sister and friends we really enjoyed this outdoor lounge, even the weather is so cold we still endure it and took photos as many as we can.

Castello Sforzesco
A walking tour begin at Sforza Castle, one of the most famous monuments in Milan and Milan's most important monuments. It served as a symbol of power for local and foreign rulers.
Infront of Sforza Castle is a very beautiful fountain.
Of course I won't dare to miss a photo of this :)
There are four towers at each corner of the castle, two round tower at the main facade and two square tower at the other end. The round tower is known as the Torre di Santi Spirito and the Torre del Carmine. The two square is the Torre Castellana and Torre Falconiera.
From the castle is a great view of Arco della Pace, Parco Sempione or Peace Arch.

Teatro alla Scala
The famous square lining at Piazza della Scala is the Teatro alla Scala, one of the world's famous theaters. The opera house became one of the world's most  known venues for famous artists. Across lies Leonardo Statue.

Leonardo da Vinci Statue
This monument was erected at the Square of della Scalla in honor of Leonardo da Vinci, who is considered to be one of the most muti-talented people. The monument was sculpted by Pietro Magni and shows  the statue of Leonardo da Vinci with his four favorite students. One of Leonardo da Vinci most famous works was created during his stay in Milan where he painted the Last Supper.
