Japan: Odaiba (Palette Town) Venus Fort

Odaiba (sometimes known as Daiba) is a large artificial island in Tokyo Bay, Japan.

Palette Town is a large shopping and entertainment complex consisting of the Venus Fort shopping mall, Toyota Mega Web, a Ferris Wheel, the Zepp Tokyo music venue and Tokyo Leisure land.

This 115 meter tall Ferris wheel is one of the world's largest and offers nice views of Tokyo Bay and Odaiba below. Each cabin seats six (or four in the all-glass cabins), and the complete revolution takes about 15 minutes.

Venus Fort's vision is a shopping theme park targeted primarily at women. The interior is modeled after Italy in the 18th century, and the fake sky on the ceiling changes color throughout the day. The stores are mainly fashion and accessories, together with restaurants and cake shops.

VenusFort was reborn into a hybrid shopping mall with three completely differing floors: Venus OUTLET, Venus GRAND, Venus FAMILY.

Venus Family
The first floor has collected a rich variety of incredibly popular categories like kid's, pets, and lifestyle for the entire family to enjoy. The high-volume home electronics dealer Laox, stocks digital cameras and wristwatches from popular brands like Seiko and Casio.

Venus Grand
This is an enhanced trend-source floor bursting with the best in the latest fashion trends and an increased selection in popular items like cosmetics, jewelry, and accessories Shops like BURBERRY BLUE LABEL, which is popular among adults, and musee de peau, which collects select made-in-Japan cosmetics like Shiseido, are garnering the spotlight.

Venus Outlet
This floor marks the birth of the first metropolitan style outlet in Tokyo's 23wards. It collects approximately 50 stores focusing on fashion and lifestyle. Outlet shops with cutting edge brands extremely popular among young people in the Shibuya and Harajuku area are especially abundant.

Fountain Plaza is the largest plaza in VenusFort. In the center of the plaza stands a large fountain supported by six goddesses. This is a popular spot for taking photos.

The circular plaza in Fountain Plaza and Church Plaza is the Olive Plaza. It was dubbed for the six olive trees that surround it. A restaurant section extends from here to the Church Plaza, imbuing the plaza with the tantalizing fragrances of delicious cuisines. Try clapping your hands in the center of the plaza! You will be treated to an intense echo.
VenusFort is graced by constantly calming and pleasant skies.  Gaze into the sky while strolling to enjoy the flow of clouds.

Venus Fort Auto Museum

Toyota MEGA WEB.  A Toyota car technology showcase where you see some great racing cars Toyota produces, drive a micro electric car and sit in many of the current Toyota cars many of which are not available outside of Japan. Features lexus cars too.

The showroom that shows off all of Toyota's latest models, car accessories and technologies. Attractions include test driving of cars (requires driving license valid for Japan) and a museum exhibiting cars from past decades.
