Korea: Nami Island

Nami Island is a tiny half moon shaped island located in Chuncheon, South Korea in the middle of the North han River. It will take you two hours by car from Seoul. A place where there are romance and beauty. It boasts wide open grassy areas suitable for picnics and recreation surrounded by chestnut and popular tress, strolling and romantic dates.

Nami Island is one of the tourist attraction in South Korea. You need to ride a ferry to reach the island approximately 5 to 6 minutes from the parking lot. Ferry operates every 30 minutes starting at 7:30 am to 9:30pm. Nami Island offers a bike center, an electric car tour and a swimming pool. They also have shops that sells all kinds of Korean souvenirs, restaurant, Cultural Center, Learning Center, Museum and some performing  shows. It is also been a shooting place for the Korean Drama "Winter Sonata". The forest path is surrounded by white birches and white pines all year around.

Admission Fee to Nami Island includes roundtrip ferry fare for 10,000 won and 4,000 won for visitors after 6pm.
